First solids..black specks in stool

LO had her first solids at 6 months today. .. just a little rice cereal mixed with breastmilk...she just had her first stool and there were black specs and thread stuff all over. .. is that normal????

We tried oatmeal for the first time last week and LO had little specs in her dirty diapers. Our pediatrician said it's normal and to only be concerned about seeing mucus/blood.

I don't know what you mean by "thread" stuff.

If you're unsure, though, I'd stop feeding it to her and contact your pediatrician.
