Purées with spinach

This might be a dumb question but if I want to add spinach to pur?es I make, do I need to cook it first or can I just throw it the processor raw with, say, some cooked carrots?

I would cook it first. Raw spinach would be hard for a Lo to digest.

Raw spinach does a number on me so I would do cooked. DD had cooked, chopped spinach as a finger food tonight and loved it.

I cook it first. I use the frozen chopped spinach, then boil it as recommended, then blend in the food processor.
