I had my first postpartum follow up today. I think it went really well. He first started talking about counseling and whether I thought I needed it. I think I am doing really well, considering it's only been a little over two weeks since losing our quads. If it wasn't for the amazing and supportive husband that I have, I don't know where I'd be. He has been my support through all of this. Then he got to talking about ttc again. His advice was to wait a couple months to make sure I am emotionally ready. He wants me to be prepared if I were to miscarry in my next pregnancy, he said 25% of all pregnancies result in miscarriages. He said to wait at least 1-2 cycles to try and he advised me to go ahead and make an appt. with my RE, since we are wanting to try right away, to go over everything and to talk about the next step.

Let me just say, my OB is absolutely wonderful. He is so understanding and caring. I drive an hour to my appts, but I couldn't see myself going to any other doctor.

We are missing our babies everyday, but also looking forward to the future and looking forward to having more kids. You ladies on here are absolutely wonderful, this board has been another amazing support for me through this difficult time.

TTC since August 2011
DX PCOS and annovulatory
1/12 Clomid (3 rounds total and no response)
DH SA = normal
6/12 Femara (2 rounds)no response
8/12 1st round Gonal F and 2 follies = BFN
9/12 2nd round injects and 3 follies = BFP!
10/15 11dpo beta#1 = 162 10/17 beta #2 = 471 1st U/S: Quads!!!
1/13 Baby A ruptured membranes, our angels Jaxon, Jayse, Emersyn, and Ellee were born @ 17 weeks

    glad to hear your FU went well today...for me it was emotional but felt like a step in my healing.  I'm also glad your dr. is so great!!!  Here's hoping to a quick few months TTA for you!

    12/19/14- FET of 2 embabies = BFP!!!  One Little Bean EDD: 9/3/15

    Glad to hear your FU went well. I'm so glad your OB is so great, that's really helpful when going through a loss.

    The doctor who performed my D&C is now going to be my OB. I was just working with midwives before. He is amazing! I think I have a weird Dr. Crush on him. The only thing is he always makes me cry (in a good way) because he is so compassionate. I agree with you, I would drive an hour to see him. It makes it so much easier to have a great doc. Glad to hear everything went well and good luck!
