Hello!
This thread is for anyone who is making a "Healthy Living" goal and wants to check in and support each other around it. This can mean anything from diet to exercise, to self-care or healthy habits --- whatever!
TTC is stressful, even moreso when there's trouble or IF involved. Meds affect our ability to exercise, make us bloated, or just crave comfort food. Let's take care of ourselves in whatever way that means for us

Re: Healthy Living Check-In (first week!)
Argh. Having the worst time manipulating the html code on this post. Bear with me.... I have to give up for now.
My goal/commitment this week: I am going to go back to Yoga this week - with a goal to go twice before the next check-in. I need the focused stretching time.

Manada: I love yoga too!!
My goal this week: My goal is to do yoga 3x by next check-in as well as 1 day of strength training!
I'm traveling this week for work, so it is going to be hard! My goals this week are to:
1) Not drink coffee (I am down from my former 8 cups a day, but would like to give it up completely)
2) Drink more water - I hardly drink anything, so am usually mildly dehydrated. Had to go to the doc yesterday (not IF related) and he told me I need to drink a lot more water (and eat more fiber - but really I already get a lot of that) since my digestive system sucks
3) Walk everyday - I bought DH and myself pedometers for Xmas. I want to make 10,000 steps every day this week. Hopefully DC isn't too cold so I can walk outside!
4) Research doing an elimination diet - Again, digestive issues. A friend/coworker who is gluten intolerant has encouraged me to try it to figure out if a food my be causing my problems
5) Avoid the starchy/sugary stuff served at the conference - Dang continental breakfast is not good for my IBS or PCOS. I'm taking up some KIND bars that are low in sugar, fruit and almonds in the hopes of staying away from the danishes, cookies, brownies, etc. I have a sweet tooth so this will be very difficult for me....
Ok, I think that is enough for now....

Hi! This is an awesome idea!!
I will be dog sitting for my mom's Airedale for the next 2 weeks and she is significantly larger and younger than my little old man dog. I will need to take her for long walks. I am hoping this will kickstart me into working out more.
I have been trying to cut down to 1 cup of coffee a day and then drink white or herbal tea when I crave a warm beverage later in the day.
Good luck with your goals everyone!!
Goals:
1. keep using MyFittnessPal and limiting calories
(pretend its a check mark)
2. go walking!
3. no sugary snacks
(still working on giving this up)
4. no soda
QOTW: Wednesday or Thursday works for me.
Married October 2009. Me 29 H 28.
After 1 year of infertility, our little miracle was conceived via our 3rd IUI on May 5, 2013.
Holland Sophia was born Jan 24, 2014.
My goal this week is to cut out diet soda and replace it with water. I'm drinking the last of the Diet Coke as I'm typing this. It's the very last can that we've had in the fridge.
It's a small goal, but a very healthy choice.
QOTW: Thursday will be fine! It doesn't really matter to me. Also, thank you for getting this going. It will be great to be held accountable for my choices this week!
GL, everyone!
ETA:
It's kinda funny that there's a can of Diet Coke in my siggy pic.

My healthy eating goal for this week is to make healthy choices while out of town for a wedding this coming weekend. My plan is to pack some healthy food to eat while driving rather than stopping for fast food. maybe peanut butter sandwiches and carrot sticks. and some clementines for the mornings!
any day is fine for me for the check in!
