Pregnant after 35

Is this what "real" morning sickness is like?

At 9wk0d, I got all day nausea with abdominal pain and at 9wk1d vomiting and severe diarrhea. Even water gurgles through my body and out to the other end. Until now, I had "mild morning sickness", e.g, I felt nauseous but eating usually made it go away. I was super bloated, but I could eat sufficient calories

Is this what full on morning sickness is like? If it is, I had no idea symptoms could be so severe. ...or maybe I got food poisoning...

On the plus side, we finally took our first belly photos, because all of my bloat is gone.  According to my scale about 5 pounds of bloat and water is gone. I am just trying to hydrate today.

  • That sounds more like a stomach virus to me.  I had one in my first trimester too, and it definitely felt different than the normal nausea.  The backend issues are a clue too.  Hope you feel better soon!

  • I spent about 6 weeks vomiting constantly and feeling hungover when I wasn't vomiting.  WITH taking zofran.   It was 3-4 bad days a week... and now is just one day a week.

  • I was sick from morning until night with my pregnancy and it lasted until about  16 weeks in.  After that, it tapered off, but there were certain things that would still send me running for the toilet. (Open refrigerator doors and garbage cans are not your friends)
