Test instructions say room temp urine when testing... After you pee in the cup, do you test right away or wait until the urine is really "room temperature"?
my bathroom is really cold so I have to carry the piss cup around with me so it doesn't get too cold.

TTC #1: dx with POCS 7/2009 TTC on & off since 1/2012 September 2012; Surprise BFP - MC June - December 2013; Clomid/Femara + Trigger + TI = BFN x 4 April - May 2016; Femara + TI = BFN x 2 July 2016 - December 2016; Gonal-F + Ovidren + IUI = BFN x 3 May 2018 - IVF #1; 8 snowbabies. transferred 1 embryo - CP August 2018 - FET #1 -- Healthy Baby Boy
I can't imagine that it would make that much of a difference but if any temp urine was fine, I'm wondering why they would put it in the directions.... Well, maybe that was a dumb since they do put "do not eat" in the instructions too :P
Its really a moo point what temperature your urine is, unless you're one of those weirdos who stores it for prolonged periods of time. Just PIAC, dip your stick and get it over with.

What do you think room temperature means? It doesn't mean it needs to be 72 degrees.

OP If it makes you feel any better I totally had the same question a while back....
Yes. B/c if I just googled it I might get 10,000 different answers. Google can be the enemy.
If you want to google, then next time try something like:
thebump OPK urine room temperature
YWIA
But, why when it's much easier to pester all of you :P
Actually in my defense my thought process was the human body is normally at about 98 degrees and isn't room termperature like 72, so the thought crossed my mind that the urine could be too warm for the test to function properly... And this is why I over think things LOL
Hey now, it wasn't the stupidest question you've heard...
this. Her instructions said room temp. You can't judge that question.
This, I think it was a very valid question. Everyone always gets their panties in a bunch when people do dumb things without reading the test instructions. Well she did.

You really think anything that went on in this thread constitutes panty bunching?

JFC indeed.
Well JFC did I say anything about this thread? No, in other threads when people post "I read the test ten minutes later", or 'I took the test apart" people go nuts because they didn't read the directions(and rightfully so, I never said they were wrong to get annoyed by it). In this case the OP did read the directions and had a question about it, I just didn't see why most people felt it was such a dumb question. She should at least get points for reading the directions.

Any "points" she gets for reading directions are negated by the question she asked.
