I was just kind of curious about what everyone does as an occupation. I read some of the posts, and it makes me curious.
I am a server at Applebees. I have been there for 6 years as of yesterday. I dont have the best job, but you cant really beat having money in your pocket everyday. I am hoping to get a better job after this baby, but we shall see. What about you ladies?
I'm a therapist and planning on going back full time which scares me as I'll be sleep deprived and trying to help people half asleep :
I hope you get the job you'd like after your baby!
I'm a HR manager at a big tech company, I'm also nervous about going back to work when the time comes. And also worried that I will miss career opportunities because of being a mom.
I'm a full time student, work at a gold shop, model and dancer. Obviously model and dancing isn't gonna last much longer nor would I like it to be. I'm looking for a job to replace it. I'm saving money from taxes and student loans
I'm a registered nurse at a busy trauma hospital. I am with float pool and work nights 77. I've been on nights for over 5 years and am wondering if ill last through the pregnancy. I never thought I would be this tired!
I work two part time jobs, but looking for full time as a receptionist. When I'm not job hunting, I split my time between my family's funeral home as a funeral services assistant and a guest services coordinator at Muvico. I may go full time there and move up the ranks to manager. Hell, I've been there since August 2007! I've only worked for the family since January 2009.
I am in customer service at an insurance agency part time Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. It's a really ideal situation. However, once LO comes along we'll be paying for two kids in daycare part time and it will almost not be worth it. We're discussing me becoming a SAHM after this ones born.
I am a server at a fancy little restaurant in the mountains of NC. I love what I do and make good money. Right now it is off season so I only work weekends but come spring I will be working full time. The summer is crazy busy and I know it will wear on me but it allows me to take of as much time as I want when I have the baby.
I am a buyer for a medical company, but I am currently looking for a part time job. SO travels a lot, like 5 out of 7 days a week usually. And I do not think I can handle a full time job, and two kids by myself during the week. Im having a hard time finding part time jobs though!
I'm a buyer for a government agency. I work full time with DD and will do so after the twins are born as well...although now I'm a little more nervous about it. I can't not work though. I've just always have been someone that has to work.
I am a manager at a flower shop. I love my job very much. And I will still plan on working after the baby. I am little nervous to see how pregnancy will coincide with our big holidays (valentine's day & mother's day) and wedding season. The long hours of standing and running around are freaking me out a bit. But we will have to see how it goes. I am hoping my age ( I am only 23, 24 this march) will play to my advantage.
I'm a customer service manager for a prototype company. I like my job but we have decided that I'll be a SAHM until my toddler goes off to school. I was home with my first for a year before going back to work and it made for a better family dynamic.
I am a Elementary Technology/Computer Teacher. I teach pre-school-4th grade in 3 different schools in my district. I taught second grade and third grade for 14 years and took this change 4 years ago because I wast starting to burn out.
I'm currently a medical resident in internal medicine. Come July I'll be starting my radiology residency. I haven't told them yet so I have no idea what sort of maternity leave I'll be able to get....probably like 3 weeks. On the plus side, I should be able to finagle rotations where I mostly just sit during that July and August time frame!
TTC since Nov 2011
Me: hypothalamic amenorrhea, DH: perfect
May 2012 Follistim injections without response
Sept 2012 Femara and Follistim resulting in hyperstimulation
Nov/Dec 2012 Menopur for ~25 days, trigger, TI, BFP 1/1/13!
I'm an Investment Sales Assistant with a brokerage firm. There's about seven different financial advisors that I help with the operational side of the business as well as interact with clients and help service their accounts. I love it!
