Because I wasn't challenged enough......

Today was supposed to be my trial transfer.  I get a voice mail late last night from the office saying they have to cancel and they will call in the morning to explain.  (Note a few weeks back I found out the doctor was leaving in June - he's the only one at this institute)  They call back this morning and yep, the hospital is kicking the doctor out TODAY.  Grrrrrrrrrrr....no news on when there will be a new doctor (Highmark and UPMC don't play nice in my area).  So, back to square one after being so excited about starting stims in another week.  

So looks like I'm delayed.  I'm going to make appointments with the other 2 infertility specialists in town and see which one is best for us (if anyone feels like weighing in, I live in Pittsburgh so it's either RHS or Magee). 

 Just needed to vent a little...heading for the liquor cabinet now. 

IVF#1 in March 2013.  BFP!  Due date 12/11/13.

IVF#2 in September.  BFP!  Due date 6/8/14!

    how horrible that you are going through this right now.  i'm so sorry they cycle is delayed.  hoping you can get in quickly to the other RE's and they get you started soon!
    Me (37) DH (39); PCOS changed to Unexplained, changed to DOR in 2012 (finally a correct diagnosis!); 
    Started TTC 2009 with RE after 6 months.  
    Clomid + Trigger x2; 
    IUI + Femara x1,
    IUI + Follistim x2;
    IVF #1 (MDL) February 2013- BFN.
    IVF #2 (antagonist) May 2013, First BFP of my life. 
    Identical twin miracle BOYS (!!) headed our way- due date is technically 2/4/14 but c section is scheduled for 1/7!

    I'm so sorry you're going through this but I admire your strategy of scouting out other fertility clinics and not sitting idly by.  Good luck in your search!!! <3

    Aww that stinks! I'm sorry. I can't even imagine.

    I started at RHS but then switched to Magee because they had a "shared" DE program and it was few thousand $ cheaper.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Oh no, how frustrating!! I'm so sorry you're going through this and you're delayed because of this. I hope you're able to get into a new RE quickly and get moving along again very soon.

    OH no! I'm so sorry msechick! I hope it doesn't take long for them to find a new doctor. That's frustrating they would just let him go like that, with patients, and not having someone else there. (((hugs)))

    Thanks everyone. I have appointments set up for consults on Monday at the 2 other places in town.  So we will go from there.
