Any one have experience with this test? Does it feel similar to the hsg?
I've had an hsg, which was not an experience I was looking forward to repeating, but today at my follie check my RE found what he believes is a polyp or possibly a fibroid. Not sure why it wasn't seen on my baseline US. So he's recommending I do this test if this cycle is a bust.

Not anything like the HsG! My HSG was horrible and painful, it also showed something that the RE wanted to further view. So I had the saline sonogram. It's not a big deal at all, they insert a catheter and then inject saline to get a better view. Painless and fairly quick! Mine ended up showing a fibroid which I then had removed. Good luck!!!
I had one done in December, Ive never had hsg. It wasnt super painful but very uncomfortable. The thing that bothered me the most was when they actually put the saline in. I had bad cramping that day afterwards but it was ok. My dr recommended taking advil in advance and I think it helped alot.

I had one done last August to identify what turned out to be retained placenta that had calcified, which was then removed via d c in Sept. I had vet minimal cramping after, otherwise it was a breeze. I actually have an hsg on Monday now...hoping it's not too bad.

Nothing like an HSG. HSG was uncomfortable for me. Saline sonohystogram was easy breezy. Like pp said, insert catheter to fill uterus with saline. RE found uterine polyps which was then later removed via hysteroscopy. Just leaked a little afterwards. But was given a pad before leaving the clinic.
2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".
