Fertility tests

I'm not sure if this is correct board to post. I'm trying for a 2nd child after have my lo through iui. I'm having trouble this time around trying iui again. My question is the first time around they gave me the testing such as shooting dye up tubes to see if open Etc i don't know names of procedures. Sorry. But should I ask to do this again? Could this change after 2 years and having a baby? It's just frustrating that its not working thus time around. Tia sorry if wrong board, guide me to where I should be if so.

I'm kinda suspicious as to how you don't know the names of the tests if you're going through treatments.

I haven't even had testing done, but I know the names of most of them, including the HSG you're referring to.

While this is the right board, many of us are TTC#1 so if you are going to mention your other child just be sure to put *child warning* in the title.

But there is also Success after IF which is a board for those who went through infertility treatments before having their first child and I know they have many trying for their second over their.  And there is also secondary IF which is more for people who had their first no problem and have IF dealing with TTC#2.  Just saying asking any questions with regards to TTC#2 might fit in better on those boards.

But yes, a lot can change in two years and the hormones from having a child.  I know many IFers that had trouble TTC#1 and then conceived #2  because the hormone changes from childbirth helped out their diagnosis.  So the same can be true for problems occurring between the two.  

What was your DX before?  I would think your RE before beginning again with IUI would want to do all the tests (I know I had to have everything except the HSG done again just because it's been over a year and a half since first IUI to fourth IUI).

I apologize! It's been 2.5 yrs. I don't remember exact name if the tests. What are u suspicious of?? I was just trying to get an idea if I should be pushing for testing again. I apologize for posting on this board... I said that in my original post. And believe it or not it's hard for me trying to conceive a 2nd child emotionally too... I hope that all of you have success!! As it took me awhile to conceive my first and know the pain: so keep trying and staying faithful it will happen. I just feel like everyone jumps down your throat for posting here. It was just a question...thanks!!
