I've got a few today:

1. I don't like mohawks on babies/small children.  I also don't agree with allowing our child to dye their hair crazy colors.

2. I think video games are a waste of time and brain power.

3. Pizza is over rated.

I'll check it out, but it is unlikely to change my opinion. I will however say that I don't think all games are created equal. There are games I am less opposed to than others.

I think turkey is gross, have never liked in on thanksgiving or any time of the year I usually eat the side dishes and H and I go to taco bell after because its all that is open when I go see my in-laws in VA.

If I have one more over exuberant call me and ask me about my pregnancy symptoms I am going to go crazy. They are going in to uncomfortible detail about thier pregnancy and I just want to hang up on them. UGH.

I can not stand TV news anymore cable or otherwise. I feel like we are being dumbed down. This makes me sad because I used to be a news junky.

I understand using one of those Jawbone things when you are driving, but people who walk down the street using them look like crazy people who are talking to themselves.

My UO - I don't like being pregnant. I kind of wish I could skip over it and just move along to having the LO. This might not be unpopular really but everyone I speak to is thrilled to be pregnant or can't wait to be pregnant again.

I LOVE rare meat. I don't eat beef often, but when I do its rare/medium rare. I've had to adjust to medium while pregnant. I just can't do well done. Its dry, chewy and disgusting. For me, mainly, its about texture and taste. I feel like the meat has more flavor when its rare.

My UO: I hate nail polish. It chips, and smells horrible when you are applying it. I also don't like getting manicures. It hurts my hands and doesn't last long. Its expensive. Pedicures? Yes. Sign me up.

I just put the clear coat on my nails and go.

I guess another UO is I don't care about purses. Like, really don't care. I have one purse that I use until it breaks. Often its a messenger bag that I get at a book store that is not really meant to be a purse. Designer bags don't move me.

I strongly dislike video games but then the other day my mil made a great point... If they are stuck on video games they won't be stuck on drugs and bad things.

I think people who don't share their baby names solely for the fact that they don't want other people to "steal" it are being silly.  Especially when they are chosing a very popular, top 100 name. 

One of DH's friends did this, they named their daughter Isabelle.  Really?  That is like the #2 name in the country and you are afraid other people are going to use it?  Too late!

I also hate when a parent uses the nickname as the whole name.  Name your kid Maxwell or Maximillian, not just Max (I live in an area where everyother boy you run into is named Max).

They aren't mutually exclusive. There are addicts out there that play video games and gamers that do drugs.

I'm with you guys.  I love my daughter, I will love this baby, but I hate being pregnant.  We are definitely 2 and through.  If I hadn't promised DH 2 I would have stopped after Li.

I think fake nails look trashy.  I prefer a nice maicure over those fake things.  It also drives me bonkers when omen get the fake nails and then act like they're handicapped.  NO..I will not open that soda for you!  You look like an idiot trying to fetch things our of your purse with those claws.

Sign me in for Medium! I use to have it well done.. then I discovered the light and could never go back.

Prim, I love all of these things enough for the both of us!  I get a mani every other Saturday and I have a walk in closet designated just for my purses.

Here's an awkward one but we are all sharing so why not!! I don't like porn. My DH openly told me that he whacks it to it and I openly told him that to me it is a loophole for cheating. Bc you are looking at another naked woman being pleasures while you pleasure yourself. It's a loophole for cheating! I can't stand meat to have pink in it. Made a burger the other night but into it and it was pink and it tasted aweful like blood.

I get gel manicures for the whole chipping business. My manicures only last like 2-3 days but with the gel manicures it'll last for over 2 weeks sometimes!

My DH likes to play them to cool down after work and to hang out with his brothers since we are in sc and they are in Id but he does no drugs at all the closest thing it a beer once in a blue moon or a can of dip every few months.

I hate the nickname thing too. Want your kid to have a cutesy nickname as a kid that's all well and good but think about resumes and college transcripts etc. An adorable little Maddy is cute but a sixty year old Maddy not as much. Give your child a name he or she can grow with.

I hate it too. I'm done after this one, I'm having permanent birth control after this baby is born.

agreed...and actually they may even go hand in hand as people who have addictive tendencies tend to move from one addiction to another or be addicted to more than one thing at a time.

(ETA - that's not a slam at gamers. There are gamers who aren't addicts, and there are gaming addicts (like my husband!) who don't have other addictions)

Right there with you.  Ick ick ick.  I can't stand meat when I'm pregnant and reading the blood lovers below made me want to puke.  We are visiting family next week and they now eat it med rare...i may get sick at the table if they have anything that uncooked. I'm hoping to avoid any such situation.

I hate being pregnant too. People said it would go by faster this time because I have a toddler at home.....so not true. I dream of July.

I feel like every woman on here who asks about their tiny weight gain is being an AW. " I have only gained 4 lbs is my baby okay?"

Are you eating? Is your doctor concerned? Your baby is fine. So sorry you aren't turning into a huge whale and your baby weight will come right off.

I hate being pg too. I'm actually beginning to really like the idea of having these twins because I'll never have to be pg again. We wanted three, so it works. Also, if my mom tries to talk me out of dh getting a vasectomy about a year after these babies, I'm going to scream. We're waiting a year lady, lay off!

I agree. It always freaks me out when I am walking down the street and someone comes up behind me talking.  It's just weird.

My UO is that people should stay home when they are sick. DH is a workaholic as are all his coworkers. He went to work when he had mono! They all go to work sick and I am terrified of what he is going to bring home. I am more terrified of what DH will bring home from his coworkers than I am of what DD will bring home from preschool.

Erin, I am curious as to how you feel about video games as a training tool? For example, many medical schools are using them to help with anatomy. Same with the military, they are programming virtual reality type situations so that they can practice combat as realistically as possible.

Also, how do you feel about programs like leap frog and the like?

Is it just video games or computer games too?
Could you elaborate?

Agree. However, I don't like two pieces in general even on most adults. I wear one pieces because I feel more comfortable in them. DD is going to wear one pieces until she is a teenager and then we will talk. I will draw the line at string bikinis. She can go buck wild in college for all I care, but when she is a minor she doesn't need to be advertising the goods lol.

Okay so I haven't read the UOs yet today so I don't know how serious we are today, but I decided while researching breast pumps on Lucie's List that I wanted to hear Black Eyed Peas "Pump It".  Mostly because every time I read the word "pump" I started hearing it in my head. So I load it on youtube and then click back to this thread. This bear dances in time to Pump It. Perfectly. What a weird thing to discover on UO Thursday.
