  • DH is a biologist at Merck (the drug company).  He's in the initial phase of drug discovery, so he's essentially working on developing new drugs that will be on the market in 10-15 years.  It's neat what he does.  He's worked on HIV and cancer drugs within the last year.

  • Physics/Chemistry teacher during the day and he is a hockey referee some nights and weekends.  I am seriously considering going back to school to be a teacher so we can have summers off together.  That would be so nice now that we have LO!
  • DH is a computer programmer (COBOL, Java) for a company that does mutual fund processing.

  • DH is in the military. I?m not going to say exactly what his job is, but it?s pretty bada** (very proud of him and his accomplishments). It?s something that only a few are selected to do and required a lot of extensive training. When he?s home, he?ll usually leave for work around 6am and will get home sometime between 3-6pm and they get a good bit of 3 and 4 day weekends. He travels quite a bit and is gone more than he?s home. We counted him being home a total of 6 weeks in 2011. A few of those months were part of a deployment, the rest was training. Currently, he?s on his 8th deployment and his 9th year in the military.
