Lightning Crotch / Cervix Pains

Are these basically the same thing?

Sometimes my LO will headbutt (and sometimes, if he's feeling nice, he'll just punch) my cervix and it seriously causes me to stop everything I'm doing until the pain subsides. Just wondering if there's any significant difference between the vag pains known as "lightning crotch" vs. good, ol' cervix pummeling.

    I was having this yesterday. I was having shooting pains mostly around my pubic bone and lots of pressure in that area, and was keeling over whenever the feeling hit. I'm thinking it's just the baby trying to move lower. Not sure, I think vaginal pain is more from the babies head pushing certain nerves. I will ask my doctor next visit.
