Car seat release date - what is "spring"?

Does anybody know about what month companies mean when they say something will be released in "Spring 2013"? To me, that could be any time between March and June.

I'm anticipating the Chicco Nextfit car seat, I hope it gets released before LO outgrows his infant seat! (He's only 5 months, but he's a big baby!)

I hope so! My 15 month old is not going to fit in the keyfit much longer. I really want the nextfit, maybe 2. Does anyone know the exterior seat width?

Those vague terms are used on purpose, just in case they can't get the product out on March 1, they have not missed a deadline.

I'm hearing Q2 for the Nextfit. If he's in the Keyfit, he can stay till he's 30" tall.

He's currently in the B-Safe, which says up to 32". (He was 28" when I measured him a couple weeks ago!) So we have some time, but not a lot.

 You've got time.  Babies slow down after 6 months.  I thought the same thing with all of my kids.  I was nervous they were going to hit that 32 inch mark before they hit 8 months!  They didn't end up hitting it until 1 year.

You definitely have some time, but in addition to overall height make sure to pay attention since a RF seat is also outgrown when there's less than 1" of hard shell above the child's head regardless of their total height.
