so I delivered Grace a little over four weeks ago, my wounds are healing nicely and I'm barely leaking breast milk. I was just wondering when I can expect AF to visit? I'm not on any BC and haven't gotten the green light to have sex yet. TIA

I know it probably varies for everyone, but I got my first AF about four weeks after having Devon. I'd seen my OB the week before AF came to town for my postpartum, and he cleared me for sex/TTC as soon as I was ready.

I am 7 1/2 weeks out and nothing yet. When I went in for the 6 week check, he said it could be anywhere from 4-10 weeks before you get AF again. Doc cleared me at 2 weeks.

It does vary but I believe it took me about 6.5 weeks to get my period back. I wasn't prepared to be as emotional about it as I was because though I expected that it was coming it was still very upsetting to know why this was happening.

I had some spotting, but still didn't have my period after 10 weeks. I called my doctor and she gave me an RX for provera to jumpstart it. The emotions that come with it are so strange. I was so upset when I didn't get it because I kept thinking maybe something was wrong, but I cried when I got it too.

It really is different for everyone. I delivered at 39 weeks and didn't get my period for about 8 weeks. We were also told to avoid sex for 6 weeks.

My period came back at 6.5 weeks. At me 6 week pp check up I was told we could have sex whenever and we could TTC starting in february (3 months after Hunter passed away). I am sure its different for everyone.

I now have my 2nd pp period and the emotions and hormones that have come with that are intense.
