My baby has a Cataract

So we had an appt today with an ophthamologist.  Her pedi saw that her right eye was cloudy so she wanted us to go to a specialist.  Well we went today and he examined her eye and found that she has a cataract that will require surgery.  I am so scared and nervous because she is so little and it worries me for her to have to go thru this at such a young age.  Her surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday.  Please keep us in your T&PSad

    Ugh. My thoughts will def be with you. Can I ask a question does this put her at any higher risk for issues later in life? Just curious...

    Hopefully if the surgery goes well she won't have problems. We need to get it corrected now to avoid her getting glaucoma.
