I haven't read the ebooks yet but I want too. I have over 200 of the original series but I am not sure if I want my daughter to think life should be lived Wakefield style.
I wouldn't even want a Liz. Let some other girl cheat on her boyfriend 8 times a school year while patting the shoulders of all the poor, fat, minority kids at school.

I can understand that; those girls were perfect. Tan, long slender legs, perfect soft mane of shiny blonde hair. (I specifically remember those words).

You know who I hated? Enid Rollins.
Enid is a drip.
I reread all the books when I was 20. There is no way thay could be like real life.
I remember getting hooked with Sweet Valley Twins.
I actually just finished the book of the e-serials, and I was disappointed at the very end. I wanted to have another part. It seemed like it ended abruptly.

Yes! I went on Amazon looking for the next one and there was none..grr.
I lived on SVH books and Babysitters club books as a young reader.
They just don't make stuff like that anymore.
This is probably a good thing lol.
Right, because books like Diary of a Wimpy kid and Captain Underpants are so much better.
I haven't read them so I don't know how much weight a fat kid has to lose to make friends in those books. I do remember Robin WIlson ended up as a size 4 and then developed an eating disorder.
Re: Sweet Valley. The Sweet Life
Yeah, this. I loved the Sweet Valley books!
If you loved the original series this blog is a must read. I was in tears more than once.

It was originally an e-book series but I guess they published it into a real life book:
https://www.amazon.com/The-Sweet-Life-Serial-Confidential/dp/1250023882/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1359500804&sr=8-3&keywords=sweet+valley+confidential
It's the continuation of that Sweet Valley: 10 Years Later book that came out awhile ago.
It doesn't hold a candle to the original, obviously, but it's a fun little fluff read.
