Great Ultrasound!

Hi ladies!

I went in for my first ultrasound yesterday, and it went great! The only downside of the ultrasound was having to have a full bladder - the ultrasound tech was running a bit behind, and I REALLY needed to go to the bathroom.

In any case, baby is measuring a few days ahead at 10 weeks, and the heartbeat was 152! Baby even wiggled a little bit for us!

It was such an amazing relief to see our baby with its beautiful little beating heart.

I cannot wait to hear the heartbeat on the doppler at my next appointment!

That sucks about the full bladder though.
I remember at my 24 week anatomy scan I had to drink 32 oz before and hold it for over an hour. The nurse was really nice and offered for me to let a little bit out! Ha. Totally impossible

Awesome! I've never heard of the full bladder deal before. My dr has asked me to use the bathroom at the beginning of every appt.

How exciting! I have my u/s in less than 2 hrs and I was instructed to drink 32oz or water/juice. I am not looking forward to holding in that much liquid, but for a chance to see the baby I guess its worth it!

Yay for a good US!  I have my next OB appt on Monday and we will finally get to HEAR the heart beat.  I feel like we waited a really long time this time!

Awesome! Glad it went so well! We had our first OB appt today too, and saw a wiggly baby. I couldn't make out the heartbeat due to the screen glare, but doc was happy! Measuring a few days ahead as well, but given a later EDD of 8/30 instead of 8/29. : the pictures don't look like anything, really! I didn't have to have a full bladder either, and infant they make you leave a sample at the beginning of every appt anyhow.

Thanks everyone! I read that they have you drink water before the ultrasound because it produces a clearer picture. My bladder was super full, and we got a great US picture of LO.
