Sore throat remedies

My Lo has been battling a cold for the past 2 days. Can anyone offer any home remedies or ideas to help soothe his sore throat?

That's a good question. I'm interested to see what others post.

I think I read somewhere recently that a little bit of warm, plain chicken broth without a lot of salt, can help ease the pain for babies with sore throats.

Warm water and honey fed by the spoonful is good!

Don't give honey to a baby younger than 1 year - botulism!  But it is great when they are a little older!

I gave DD warm/hot chamomile tea (with a spoon), and lots of warm soups. Her favourite was roasted red pepper

I also tried to give her warm water with a little lemon added, in her sippy, but she hated it, haha. You could see if your LO is more willing though!

Good idea, thank you I will try the low salt chicken broth.
