I work with a small, pretty casual, group of women. Only about 12 of us, including the 4 supervisors and the boss.
We had a staff meeting yesterday, very casual. When we were finished, people were just chatting and I asked my boss for a physicals form. We have to get annual physicals. I just told her that since I was already going to the dr today, I'd just get it out both way instead of having to make another dr appointment later on.
I thought I was being pretty casual about it since she didn't know what dr I was going to.
She started to walk back to her office, then asks "so when are you due?"
Me: what??
Her: when are you due?
Me shocked: who told you??
Her: told me what?
Me ...realizing that she was asking when I was due for my physical...: um err ah Nevermind
Her: Oh My Gosh!!! Are you pregnant?!?!
This was in front of half of the other staff. So yeah. But seriously! When you are pregnant, and someone asks when you are due, that where your head goes first! I had told my two closest coworkers, who knew we've been trying, but neither of them are gossipy, so I really didn't think they'd have told. And they didn't.
Oh well. I was hoping to not tell them for a few more weeks, because on of the supervisors has been trying for a little longer than we had been, and I was hoping she'd have luck before I had to tell.
So I'm out at work. Anyone else slipped up?

The other day a friend sent a mass text with some good news. I didn't see it come in but I saw another friend's response which just said "Hey, congratulations!" I thought it was meant for me and saw 5 or 6 other people copied on the text and freaked out! I was so close to responding and then realized what had happened.
Toby, my furry baby
Today I was discussing my annoyance with my bloat and how it shows through EVERYTHING I own with a coworker and close friend who knows. We weren't being loud and we're discussing it fairly discreetly when we heard a snicker behind us. We just turned and went..."what??" The teacher didn't respond and after I left the room, she asked my friend if I was pregnant! Thank goodness I my friend is quick on her feet! She said we were complaining about eating too much and combining it with period bloat! It shut her up, but honestly, I think she still suspects.
Yep... I got outed way before I wanted. I was cleaning up a patient with c.diff at work and had to step out for a second because I was getting nauseous. I'm known to have a stomach of steel at work, so my coworker knew right away when I stepped out "to grab something" mid-clean up that something was up.
