need ideas

DH turns 30 this weekend. I really want to do something memorable. Anyone, especially my western WA peeps, have any suggestions? We do have sitter options, so DS isn't a factor.

Driving his corvette, fishing, hunting, gambling, kind of an adrenaline junkie, video games. I'm open to all suggestions.

While we don't ski, and he won't try it, a brewery could be good.... Off to google....

Take him to a different nicer Casino. Like my parents go to Clearwater all the time, but if they want a nice night out will go to Point No Point or Tulallip for a nice dinner and some gambling.

My plan was to stay at Tulalip, even though we live really close. Yeah, not spending 300 on the room. This is, however, my backup plan.

ETA dinner and gambling is the backup, not the room.

  • I don't know where you are located out here, but there is a nice cluster of breweries in Bellingham.  That could be a day trip.  There you have Chuckanut, Boundary Bay and a couple smaller places.

In Seattle there are a bunch: Pike Place Brewing, Hales, Fremont Brewing, Naked City, Georgetown Brewing, Big Als and more that I can't think of at the moment.

Woodinville has had a few new places pop up.  Nearby you have Black Raven (my personal favorite), Mac and Jacks, Brickyard, Twelve Bars, Dirty Bucket, Foggy Noggin and of course Redhook

Snoqualmie Brewing is good and just down the road from the falls and Salish Lodge.

I'm not sure if I should be concerned or proud that I could do that off the top of my head.

You make google obsolete. That was awesome! We do live nearish Bham, so that could be good. We've also never been to Snoqualmie. So many ideas!

Dang. The only one I could tell you is that we have Silver City Brewery here.

Oh! You could go to a nice dinner in Seattle if you live near Tulalip shouldn't be too far. Heck, you could probably get a room here at Clearwater for less than at Tulalip too. Just would require you to take the Edmunds ferry.

True story: once upon a time, before we were parents, DH's parents flew outta SeaTac on NYE. DH and I drove them down with plans to spend NYE in Seattle, then drive home. We dropped them off around 8 pm, drove around downtown for a couple hours, got overwhelmed, and drove home. We were home by 11. We are lame, and I am not city savvy.

Gotcha. You willing to go out toward the beach? Cuz you could do Point No Point or something for a change of scenery.
