I just did some research on this--24 month is bigger in the butt, to accommodate a diaper. 2T is smaller in that area, and is meant for LOs who have been potty trained and are in underwear.

Well what the heck happens if your kid is needing a bigger size but still wears a diaper? I do not think I like this.

Use it as inspiration, my friend!
My kid can't even stand, I don't think the potty is in our near future
Re: whats the difference
2t are bigger, meant for kids in the 2 - 3 year range, 24m are meant for up to 24m.

Apparently 2T is cut a bit wider and taller while 24 months is still fit for "babies."
However, like everything else, it's really brand specific when it comes to size. I buy either or here and have yet to notice a difference.
24 months are shorter and wider
2T are slimmer but longer.
Atleast this is how the shirts I've bought seem to be

This is what I have found as well. And sometimes the 24mo stuff is cheaper b/c it's "baby".
