So, what comes after all the "It's a__" "Are you finding out"

posts?

Registery?

Braxton Hicks?

Pre-term labor?

What to pack in the hospital bag?

Just wanna prepare myself! Tongue Tied

  • Probably all of the above.  Add nursery posts to your list too!

  • Oh yeah and the hospital bag ones will start at like 25 weeks, which is early and annoying.

I packed my hospital bag in the 10 minutes before leaving for the hospital last time, it was no big deal.  And I did it without some crazy long list.

  • I see a lot of registry, shower, IL  and naming posts to come in the near future.

  • People AWing their nurseries, name posts, lots of breastfeeding v. formula debates, questions about BH contractions. Also, "Did I just lose my mucous plug?!? Did my water break?!?".

Registry absolutely.  I think there will be a bit more time before the hospital bag issue pops up.

It's more these are the things that are going to get really old really fast. Everyone is excited about their own something or other but not that many other people care all that much. Let's be honest. Do you really care whether or not my baby has a peen? Or how I'm going to decorate a nursery you will never step foot in? Or what my specific birth plan is for my very specific needs? Whether or not I choose to BF?

Right, I see your point. But I also see the point of someone being excited to share or having questions (I just googled what to pack in a hospital bag because I've never done this before and I have no idea). Sure, the repeat posts do get a little old, but it is nice having a group of women in one place who you can ask questions to and get support from. Isn't that the point of these boards?

Yes and some posts are fine. It's just the countless repeats that get annoying. Like today I was annoyed by the second "is sneezing a pregnancy symptom?" post in three days. I just wish people would look back even one or two days and see what posts have been started.

Making one big topic for each subject and making it sticky could be helpful to a lot of people and also helpful to those of us that get annoyed by a million posts about the same thing.

I have a feeling we will still see some flu shot posts for another couple weeks at least....ugh.

  • I find that a lot of the weirdos that are attracted to drama start disappearing...it becomes a less obnoxious place in general. A lot of the focus begins to be on the labor and delivery aspects. Oh, and food is always a good topic ;)
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker image

  • In some people's defense, there is almost a months difference between some people and at the time that people are talking about one thing, it isn't even a thought for others.  For example, when early July due daters were thinking about the NT scan, I was only 6-8 weeks and since it hadn't been brought up by my doctor yet, it didn't register in my brain what anyone had said about it by the time I was thinking about it.

I personally just don't open the posts that there are a ton if.  However I agree some are overkill....I haven't really become close to anyone in particular on this board yet, so I don't pretend that anyone will care that Angelsnight is having a boy (or girl) or that they'll even remember five minutes later, so I stay away from posting stuff like that.

  • You women with thousands of posts who think you are like the popular girls in high school who run this board are really getting old. The bump is supposed to be a place for sharing with others who are in the same situation as you and may have knowledge that is useful to you. It is also a place where you can be excited about some part of your pregnancy and find others who are excited as well because they are feeling the same excitement around the same time. The fact that you feel the need to post a message basically mocking the women who use this board for what it is for are ridiculous. You get annoyed by women making posts about things that are relevant to the board, which is having babies in July 2013 in case you missed that, yet you make pointless posts about "holy *** ***"someone is a 'post whore', you think ANYONE cares about that? No it's ten times more annoying than reading a repeat post which might I add you DON'T HAVE TO READ! No one but your own nosy dramatic selves makes you open those posts and read them. They have a title for a reason, so ya know what it's about beforee you open it. Seriously, if you don't care about someone's post don't read it and certainly don't make a separate post about how you don't care about it. I personally do care about getting advice from BTDT moms on baby supplies, a hospital bag, and dealing with family and I'm sure I'm not alone. Maybe you selfish 'bumpers' who just want to find a post you can involve yourself in in some dramatic fashion should just ** off and let the women who are using this board for its intended purpose do what they want. Don't like it, leave. Please! Are you all even pregnant because there is no way you have made 10,000 posts since you found out your were pregnant in eh, October at the earliest? Unless you developed some sick obsession with the bump in like 4 months? Go on somewhere and torment someone else other than pregnant women just looking to connect with other pregnant women. They're not here to connect with immature dimwits who have nothing better to do than bump on boards they don't belong on!
