? About progesterone supplements

Today I am 7 dPIUI and had the progesterone check.  My numbers came in a little low so thay are prescribing supplements.  originally my Dr told me to POAS 2 weeks post IUI, which would be next Monday, 2/4.  I doubt I will hold out that long but that's not the point.  if it's +, I go in for blood to confirm.  Today the nurse who told me about my level said "Take the prgesterone for 12 days, take a test and if negative, stop taking it."  I went back and forth with her a little bit, because that just doens't make sense to me - That would put me at 19 days PIUI and there is no way in hell I'm waiting until then to test!!!

My plan is to still test when I would have, but maybe if it's negative, take the prog for a few more days, just in case, and retest, putting me at that time frame she gave me.I just think she gave me a scripted answer even when I questioned it.

 How long do you take progesterone if you don't start until a week post Ovulation/IUI?

i normally start PRG at 3DPO....but getting what you said since they want you to start today I would still test once you hit around when you normally would around 12-13dpo or in your case IUI.  i temp too so once i get negative test and my temp drops i stop taking the PRG.

For my IUI I started taking progesterone 2dpiui and will take it for the entire 2ww. If on 14 dpiui I get a negative beta (bloodwork) then I stop taking them. If it is positive I keep taking them through out the first trimester.

This is their standard protocol. I'm taking them and my numbers have never been low. I'm just taking them "for good measure."

This is me too. I had IUI on a wed and started the progesterone on that Friday 2x a day.

They said to take them until 14dpiui when I test. If positive keep taking them, if negative I can stop and my period should start shortly thereafter. I go for bloodwork to check my progesterone levels on Wednesday, 7dpiui.
