Re: MoMs to be check in!
No real updates this week. My next appointment is an ultrasound next Monday. I'm hoping that both girls will have had a growth spurt. Three weeks ago they were only measuring in the 25-35th percentile. Also hoping Baby B's kidneys are no longer slightly dilated as they were at the last u/s. I do seem to have developed CTS in my right hand/arm, especially, which has been causing me a lot of problems at night. Yesterday I got a wristguard and it helped so much last night!
QOTW: We are closing on our new house at the end of February and I am decorating a nursery for my twin girls. The walls are already painted a very light blue with white trim and I'm leaving that, and accenting with dark and light pink, with white furniture. I can't wait to move in and set it all up!
ETA that I'm not really doing a "theme." I got a tree wall decal with owls, birds and flowers from Etsy, and some tissue paper pom poms. The quilts (for decoration) are blue with pink flowers on them. I'm basically just tying everything together with the color scheme.
Update: we did our L&D tour last week and they took us through the observation nursery and the NICU. I now have an even stronger drive to keep these babies in there until they are ready to come home with us!
QOTW: We don't really decorate a nursery. I have some framed watercolors that I've used since DS1 was born, and other than that we'll just buy some sheets that don't have trucks all over them and call it good (we're having two girls this time)
I have not checked in in a while. I was in L&D about 1.5 weeks ago because I am contracting every 2 minutes. They found that my cervix is still measuring over 4cm and completely closed. The fetal fiber nectin came back negative too. I was on bedrest for 4 days, and am now on office duty only at work. I go out in the field for work, but that stopped a week ago and my contractions seemed to have slowed. I go into today for an appt and NST.
QOTW: Yes, we have decorated the boy's nursery. I think they have the nicest room in the whole house lol. It ended up being a nautical theme. I had no intention of going that route, it just ended up going that way. I have the madras print curtains and bedding from PB and it just took off from there.
Please add me to the list (particularly because I can't change my siggy to add this pregnancy). My twins are due July 9th.
QOTD: My wife and I haven't even discussed the nursery yet. In all honesty, if this were one baby s/he was going to share a room with our DD but since it's two they will need their own space. The only space available is DW's office and that's a tough sell but something she knows she will have to give up (at least in part).
Can I be added. Expecting di/di twin girls 5/9/13.
Had NST today and they are doing well, except mama is not:( I have my first ear infection and in terrible pain:( I am on all sorts of drugs and worried. Praying something starts to work soon b/c I can't bear this.
Nursery- we used same bedding as we did for DS- it's Eli Elephant from PB. Then we bought two white cribs and a white dresser. So it's baby bedding with touch of green. Walls are neautral with green boxes and white chair rail. Looks super cute:)

Can you update my listing to di/di boys? Still due 6/5/13. Thanks.
Nothing much to report. I am going to have my 1-hour glucose tolerance test at my next OB appt in 2 weeks. Not looking forward to that since I failed the 1-hour with my daughter.
QOTW: We are using the same room we used for DD when she was a baby. We had a nursury rhyme theme so it is gender neutral. The walls are mostly wood paneling H painted white. The ceiling is light blue with a border that corresponds to the nursury ryhme theme. I do want to get 2 new matching crib skirts and mobiles. Maybe something with blue or green gingham. That's about all the decorating I will be doing.
6 year old daughter
Fraternal boys born on May 11, 2013 at 36 weeks 4 days
Update: I had an OB appointment today and it was the first time we found the heartbeats using the doppler. Baby A's was in the 130s and Baby B's was in the 140's. I felt and heard when Baby B kicked the doppler wand, it was a pretty cool feeling. My appointments are now every three weeks with the OB.
QOTW: We have not decorated the nursery yet, but it will be a firefighter theme most likely.
Update: On Thursday, I had an u/s to check my cervix and it's still at 2.8 cm (yeay!). Still having contractions every day, but they are pretty mild. I had an appt. with my OB this week and next week I start my NSTs and weekly u/s.
QOTW: We painted the nursery light green and daffodil. Our theme is Disney Animals, so we have framed prints from The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, Finding Nemo, Lady & the Tramp, etc. I also got mobiles, changing pad covers, and other decor (the Disney crib sheets suck). MIL is making curtains out of Mickey Mouse Ear material.
TTC #1 since May 2010. BFP #1 - 5/31/10; m/c on 7/22/10
Started seeing RE in August 2011
5 IUIs: BFN; IVF #1 - Success! BFP - 7/25/12
Update: Doc put me on BP medication last week because it was consistently high (140/100). I've never had high BP even with my last pregnancy so it was a shock to me. I have felt better since being on it and I've checked my BP which is back to normal. Both babies hb's sounded great at the last appt. I have the A/S appt on Friday (we aren't finding out the sex) so it will be nice to see them again.
QOTW: Since we aren't finding out their sexes, we're trying to be neutral. The walls have been painted a light grey and we are debating on a hot air balloon theme (sort of retro look) or just putting up shelves with a lot of colorful books on them. The room is rather small, so we have to be careful not to put too much stuff in it.
Update: nothing really to report today, but Wednesday have a MFM appointment for the growth scan to determine when the babies will be scheduled for delivery. We have done well with the past 2 BPP tests, but the main concern is baby A for IUGR. If he has fallen any lower in the percentages, they will decide to take them next week at 36 weeks. I still am hoping that they will be closer to 37 weeks and we will find out officially on Thursday when the OB and MFM have made their decision. I have put myself on a version of bedrest, since the doctors have said that is the only thing I can do to "help" keep them in longer.
Nursery: we did a modern, clean, minimalist look in our nursery to match the general decor of our house. The colors are grey, orange, white with accents of turquoise. I absolutely love the room, and it is probably my favorite room in the house. I am so happy that we finished it early (around 26 weeks) because I cannot imagine trying to scramble to get things done now. We posted pictures on Project Nursery when we were done and somehow won the weekly fan favorite. It was quite a surprise since we did not use a decorator or spend tons of money.
Update: This Wednesday is 32 weeks! I can't believe we've made it this far. I also can't believe that the boys could come at anytime. Doctors have c-section scheduled for March 4th, which is around 37wks, but I'm just hoping to get to 34-35wks. I have minor contractions, but cervix has remained long and closed. Next week begins twice weekly appts with u/s and NSTs. I've been having weekly appts for the past few months, so I'm hoping these extra appts will make the weeks go by faster.
QOTW: In the beginning, I wasn't going to have a theme because we really thought we'd have a mix of genders. Walls are light gray and dresser is yellow. Once we found out it was all boys, we started calling them our little monsters. Then I found cute monster fabric and made curtains from it. Then my sister made mobiles with monsters hanging from them. The rest of the room is tied together based on the colors in the curtains (yellow, lime green, turquoise, orange, and red). I opted not to get crib sets, but instead got plain, white crib sheets only. We made crib skirts that are green, but different patterns.

I'd also like to be added to the list. My twins are technically due 7/13 but more likely sometime around June 25th or thereabouts (it's what we're shooting for!).
QOTW: We should find out genders on Friday (woo hoo excited!) so we're holding off on any nursery decorating until then. But if it's two girls I am leaning toward pink/grey and maybe elephants....I'll probably change my mind though!
IUI #1 March: BFN, IUI #2 April: BFN.

Qotw: We are moving our son to a new room and the babies will use his nursery. It's gender neutral already with light orange, teal, and yellow bubbles on the walls and teal stripes curtains and crib skirt. My son's new room will be a fish theme.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Congrats on your twins. I changed my mind on the nursery colors about five times. At first I thought pink/green, then maybe purple/green, then purple/grey, then we bought our house and saw the light blue paint and thought, "OK... light blue and shades of pink so we don't have to paint!"
Hello all!! I just got home from my weekly appointment. My cervix is still nice and long and babies are looking great! My A/S is scheduled for next Monday but we know the genders for sure already. We are starting to get excited but still being cautious.
Twins Nursery will be vintage and shabby chic, which goes along with the rest of the house. I'm a sucker for vintage!
T&P's for ExcitedtoStart!
Update: Next ultrasound and first cervix length check is next Friday 2/8. Excited to see the babies again and possibly find out the sexes
Trying to gain weight every day - I'm a little stressed worrying all the time about whether or not I'm gaining enough weight...
QOTW: I haven't done anything for the nursery yet, but we are closing on a house in February and plan on doing gray walls and white cribs with a white birch tree decal and woodland/forest accessories.

. Regular OB appt Wednesday and I'm demanding to add MFM back in to the mix. My anxiety level is really high right now.
QOTW: We had a boy the first time around, so it's been a little fun to decorate the nursery differently. We have an owl theme.

I am 12 weeks today! I have my NT scan on Thursday and hopefully after that I will feel a little more at ease. I continue to have MS, but other than that, I do not feel pregnant at all and it is making me a nervous wreck!
Once we find out what we are having, we will do the nursery. I don't really have a theme in mind, but want something whimsical. I

Jacob and Samuel born 1/29/13 at 36 weeks.
Update: had f/u visit with MFM today from cerclage on Friday. I don't know how this happened, but my cervix grew and is back around 2.7cm which is fantastic! I am still on bed rest for two weeks, but I am hoping that I wont have to do bed rest for too much longer than that.
GTKY: I am lame. No theme. Just a cute baby room. We already had lots of pictures and other items in primary colors, so I am going to just stick with buying other decor that matches.
Update: had our 3D/4D u/s today. Little boy let us get some cute face shots but little girl kept putting her arms in her face.
We haven't decorated the nursery yet I think we are planning white walls and then pink details on one wall and blue on another. Maybe stripes or polka dots.
Update: The girls were given a clean bill of health from the surgeon on Friday! They have fully recovered from TTTS. I believe our prayers were answered. :-D
QOTW: We are repeating the classic Winnie the Pooh theme we used with our DS. Eventually all 3 kids will share the room, and it matches the paint color we already have on the walls. However, we do intend to buy a loft bed for our DS. That way he feels like he is gaining something instead of just giving up space.
It's like you're in my head already!
