I'm trying to plan a baby shower for my sister in law but I live out of town and don't know the area well. Any suggestions for a baby shower location that is nice but not too expensive?
I'm not too familiar with Brooklyn but there is this place in Manhattan called Alice's tea cup. I think it would be a great place for a baby shower. I believe they have several locations so maybe one is located in Brooklyn, call and see
Do you know the name of her neighborhood in Brooklyn? That would definitely help us make stronger recommendations. Brooklyn is such a huge area that you could end up suggesting somewhere that is totally inconvenient for her. Sometimes, depending on your neighborhood, it's easier to get from Brooklyn to parts of Manhattan or Queens than it is to get to other parts of Brooklyn.
My shower was at Circles Grill in Bay Ridge (there is also Circles Cafe, but the Grill location is nicer). You can also look in to: Greenhouse Cafe, Cebu, and Chadwicks. All are in Bay Ridge.
plentys paradise is a rental space $650 its in the heart of flatbush on Rogers ave I've been to a few events there and its really nice you can add the tables and chairs and create your own tea party theme
maybe try yelp , put in kensington outdoor gardens. Event spaces near kensington. etc. the farm, picket fence both have cute outdoor spaces. i don't agree that bay ridge is close to kensington. Ici is beautiful inside and out, but not located in Kensington.

Kensington isn't far from there
You can easily consider Bay Ridge if they live in Kensington.
