another curveball=ER done

Well I have to say this has been the worse cycle ever lol

They only got 7 eggs. Yep, you read it 7. Dr. advised based on bloodwork yesterday I should have had at least 12. How does this happen, well not only pushing my body to have more eggs compromise my lining, but if your eggs are ripe, and they do not take them right away they deteriate like over riped fruit. So orignally she just knew I was going to have 15. I had a complete meltdown from the operation room to recovery. Not to mention how much I was hurting. They had to give my painkillers.

I will say this, I am much much better than I was earlier emotionally. I felt it was completely over for me. As you know I have to freeze all eggs so the mroe the  better. I am feeling though however, that the 7 will be divine perfection, so let's pray they all fertilize and make it to next thurs when they freeze them. Dr. is calling me personally tom. This is going to be a long week. But even though I wanted to give up today, I am not going to keep the faith, and believe it is NOT what it looks like. I will win, and I will have a baby damn it. <3 Thanks for reading this novel.

    I'm so sorry.  BIG ((HUGS))  Sending a prayer that they are the Magnificent Seven and you get get your baby.  My partner at work, a 24 year old guy, just read this to me.  He doesn't know the hell I'm going through but it made me feel a little stronger :)

    DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
    Me (32): all clear
    Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
    Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
    Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
    2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
    Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
    ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
    TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
    froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
    8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
    Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
    SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
    SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
    9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
    All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
    FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
    moving on to DS
    DIUI#1 2/18/13,50mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta 3/4/13: BFN.

    IVF #1 never made it to transfer
    On "egg health" cocktail DHEA/CoQ10/FRC/Pregnitude/Melatonin
    Starting IVF #2 for Feb 2013
    Follistim/Menopur/Ganirelix
    Cancelled mid-cycle due to high P4 levels early on.
    OCPs again for IVF 2.5 mid-March. IVF 2.5 transferred two "gorgeous" 5-day blasts and BFFN. Even REI is baffled
    On indefinite hold until a huge stroke of serendipity led me to IVF 3 May 2014
    Testing found positive cardiolipins/APS, now on lovenox and intralipid infusions
    Transfer of 2 5-day blasts and (FINALLY) BFFP!! 1st ultrasound shows two sacs and two HB, but one is sluggish, almost expecting vanishing twin Subsequent ultrasound confirmed vanishing twin, but my other Little critter looks fantastic!

    Oh man, I am so sorry for all you are going through! It is all just so unfair...pushing to get more eggs, ending up with less than anticipated, losing a solid lining, having to freeze the embryos, having to start more shots and b/w and u/s again to prep for an FET...I feel like we are living the exact same nightmare right now. But, for whatever reason, this is hopefully the path that is going to lead us to our take home babies. You have such an awesome positive attitude, and it is so admirable. I am thinking of you and hoping and praying you get a fantastic fertilization report tomorrow. You're a champ!

     Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p,  New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS  4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!

Team Pink, partial previa moved up in 2nd tri9/5/13 (19w) AS scan shows short cervix, 2.5 cm 9/19 (21w)  Cervix is worse 1.87cm, bed rest 10/26 & 10/27 steroid shots 12/19 (35w) DX: SGA Baby went from 57% percentile to 18th percentile in 6 weeks. Weekly BPP and NST until she is here. 1/17/18 Growth scan puts Abby below 10th percent in size, low amniotic fluid, and less movement. Time to induce!

    I'm so sorry you were disappointed after your egg retrieval. But 7 isn't too shabby! And with all the changes you mentioned that you have made in your diet and with supplements hopefully your egg quality will be outstanding so the quantity won't even matter! FX for a fantastic fert report!!

    Sorry your upset but congrats because it could if been worse!!! I dream of getting over 5 eggs for my next round! Good luck and hopefully you will go 7 for 7 fert!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!!!!

    Thank you so much, I hope you get more also. I wouldn't have been so upset with the 7, because I am greatful, it was the principle that I got pushed way to hard and she knew it. out of the 7 only 5 were good eggs. I know it could be worse, but When you are dealing with SEVERE MFI, it feels like a death sentence because the more chances we have the better. Thanks so much again, I didn;t want to seem ungreatful.

    Oh man, I am so sorry for all you are going through! It is all just so unfair...pushing to get more eggs, ending up with less than anticipated, losing a solid lining, having to freeze the embryos, having to start more shots and b/w and u/s again to prep for an FET...I feel like we are living the exact same nightmare right now. But, for whatever reason, this is hopefully the path that is going to lead us to our take home babies. You have such an awesome positive attitude, and it is so admirable. I am thinking of you and hoping and praying you get a fantastic fertilization report tomorrow. You're a champ!
