I had my appt with my doctor yesterday to monitor the babies and discuss a plan for delivery. My doctor wasn't seeing enough heart rate variability on the NST (plus we were having a hard time keeping the babies on the monitor) so I had a BPP as well. It took forever to have all that done but the bottom line is that both babies look great right now.
My doctor said we had to set an end date for this pregnancy and when I hesitated to suggest a date, he said he didn't want me going any further than my due date. I was shocked he was willing to give me 2 more weeks considering that he originally scheduled a c-section for this past monday and then agreed to move it to yesterday. I was expecting that he'd only give me a few more days at best. I have to go in twice a week for monitoring and he'll only let me keep going as long as the babies and my body are tolerating this okay which I think is totally reasonable.
I'm so relieved to still have the chance to try for a vaginal delivery. I'm also nervous though that I'm still going to end up with a c-section at 40 weeks because my body is tolerating this too well. So I have 2 weeks to get myself into labor. Game on! Hopefully my body will cooperate.

Re: So relieved!
Thanks for the encouragement! It's reassuring to know that labor can start anytime even if I haven't had any early signs. I was starting to get discouraged!
