I want to use Edgar for a middle name as it is an important family name to me but it is a difficult name!  I will probably end up using it with whatever name we like best but I was looking for any ideas that sound okay with it!

Anyone have a good first name to use with the middle name Edgar? (Boy, hopefully that is obvious).

I really like Edgar! Yes, those consonant sounds fight one another a bit, but I think you can balance that out with a softer-sounding fn. How about

I like Edgar too, especially for a middle name.  I'm sounding off with a bunch of boy names in my head and they actually ALL sound good with Edgar as the middle name!

Thank you ladies!  I would love to use it as a first name but DH is against it so middle name it is.

My father inlaw's name is James Edgar. My husband SO Henry James Edgar. It's a family name for us too.
