Cloth Diapering

Did some searching but

I still need some help with the washer settings. LO will not be here for a while yet but I have the FL whirlpool HE duet and I saw a lot of ladies use the reg cycle with an extra rinse and then whitest whites? Does the regular use enough water? I am sitting in front of the washer now (I know fail) and the clothes are pretty wet but there is no abundance of water if you know what I mean. Of course the cycle just started so I don't know but just wondering. My setting options are silk, delicate, small load, normal, bulky, heavy duty, eco whites and then whitest of whites which is the longest cycle of 2hrs. I do have the option for extra rinse and tumble fresh whatever that is. TIA.

ETA: I also have rinse/drain spin cycle and a SOAK cycle.

Re: Did some searching but

  • When I had this machine at my previous house, I used the soak cycle (cold) for my initial rinse, then heavy duty (hot) with extra rinse for the wash cycle.

The soak cycle should be plenty sloshy for your dipes.

  • I have an LG HE and have the best luck with the bulky setting seems to add more water regardless of weight. HTH!

  • Thank you very much ladies! I have never used the bulky cycle but I will do this with the dipes and see how I fair. I really appreciate it!!
