Joining this board again

I had my baby this morning at 35w 4d. I was on this board three years ago when my middle child was born at 35w 5d. Silas, the newest addition, is 7 lb 2 oz and 20" long. He is currently in the NICU due to labored breathing. He has improved throughout the day but still will be in there for at least a few days.

Welcome! Please tell me about this pregnancy.. were there any signs of preterm labor? What happened?

Our goal with this one was to make it to 37 weeks. A week ago I started having menstrual like cramps every evening and more Braxton Hicks than normal. I tried to keep my schedule low key and rest as much as possible this past week. Due to the previa they couldn't check to see if I was dilating or not. I had a feeling he was coming early but thought I might be able to get a bit further along. With my last child, I had no signs he was coming early except that I had my group B test a few days before and we discovered I was 2 cm and 90 effaced.

I hate to have you back here, but welcome. Congratulations on the birth of your big guy. I hope and pray that he has a short NICU stay.
