Just the other night, my 2 1/2 year old started to add letters to his words.
Red-d-d, all done-t-t, dark-k
I'm not sure if this is just a phase where he is sounding out his letters. He doesn't to it all the time, but I'd say when he's home and relaxing with me. When we were out with friends, I didn't notice it (and didn't really listen for it). Anyone else experience this?
Re: 2.5 y/o adding letters to the end of words
I asked the same question about 6 months ago (DS1 was about 2.5). He was doing this as well at that time.
On the SAHM board I knew we had a speech specialist so I paged her and asked her to give me some advice. Here's the link: SuMo!!
Hope that helps!!
