There is no point to this post.
I shouldn't complain because this is like maybe the third snowfall since November and the most severe thus far at maybe...an inch of accumulation. Our plows haven't even done anything. DD's school bus was over 20 minutes late. She cried because she thought she had to miss school, poor kid. Winter can pretty much blow me.
Allow me to apologize for my vent to those who have actually had real snowstorms.

No actually, our winters are usually MUCH MUCH worse than this. It just really irritates me that we get lucky enough to have almost no snow at all and then when we get a measly inch, everyone acts like a moron and everything falls to ***.
Oh. So question then, what is a large accumulation for you? It was more your comment about plows not doing anything and the bus being 20 minutes late that made me think you probably don't get snow all that often and were pretty far south.
Here an inch doesn't even bring out the plows! After more then 6 or 7 inches they might think about starting to plow and after we've got a foot then they will start plowing for sure. Yeah an inch here doesn't even cause anyone to blink and definately wouldn't cause any sort of traffic situations at all.

Sorry, I've been offline all day! Anyway...I'm in Chicagoland so in a bad winter it's not unusual for us to get snowfalls of 6-8 inches...in recent years, we've had a couple blizzards that produced almost 24 inches. There isn't really "plowing" for an inch of snow but they do usually come through with salt. My irritation was more with the attitude that 1 inch of snow was the end of the world this morning.
