Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Waking,,,a lot!

My 6 month old is waking hourly some nights!?
I don't feed her but it gets to the point where we do need to go soothe her because we can't sleep through the crying or whining,
Anyone else experience this?
Any advice?
It's not every night it's still SO exhausting frustrating!

Re: Waking,,,a lot!

  • I feel your pain and wish I could give you some advice. DS slept through the night, like 8 to 11 hours at a time, until he hit 5.5 months. He'll be 7 months tomorrow. He goes down ok, but will wake crying anywhere from 15 hours after going down and from that point on he is up EVERY 30 to 60 minutes. It is absolutely miserable. We are exhausted and have no idea what to do. I've talked to his pediatrician...ad basically we are supposed to keep doing what we are doing. We aren't fully letting him CIO yet because often he rolls onto his stomach and is stuck because he can't roll back. I can't just leave him like that...he SCREAMS bloody murder.

I miss my sleep and feel pretty much nonhuman at this point.

  • My 6 month old is doing this too! He was a perfect sleeper until 4 months hit, then he started to wake more. Now that he is 6 months, it's the worst! He is now waking about one hour after going down then it's hard to get him back down. When we finally do, he wakes shortly after. To be honest, a few nights ago we started making him CIO, I was against it at first but it really wasn't that bad and it seemed to help. I also got a sound machine for him too. Things are getting better. Good luck!
  • I could have written this, and am about to post about this on here.

DD goes down at 8-8:15 and is up at around 12:30/1am.

I try to give her her pacifier and she either takes it and falls back asleep for a couple more hours or won't take it and starts to cry.
