Reaction to food or something else???

Hi ladies I usually post on the July 12 board but decided to come here this time. Ds had his 6 month appointment last Monday and we were given the go ahead on solids so we started with avocado and he didn't like it after 2 days and no reaction and barely getting any in him we moved on to sweet potato and had no reactions . Sunday we tried apple and he loved it but noticed some red spots on his back so assumed it was the apple and didn't give it to him anymore after that. Well he seems to still have the red spots they come and go and move around but are only on his back. I was going to take him to the pedi today and checked before we went and his back was clear again so they said it was pointless to bring him in. We have him sweet potatoes Monday but then nothing till today because dh doesn't think it's food related and wanted to try the apples again to see if they triggered it. Well again they came and went. Dh seems to thinks its happening when ds gets hot like from being in his carseat or getting warm in the house crawling around. I'm going to call the pedi again if its there in the morning again, but in the mean time wanted some opinions from other mamas . Sorry for the rambling
