  • You may want to ask your pedi, because reports recently came out that orajel was no longer recommended because it can decrease blood flow to the gums? Maybe they have come up with a new formulation now though, who knows? I used it for DS1, and it provided relief, but mostly just giving them something cold and soothing to chew on worked better. I would put the teethers in the fridge rather than the freezer, because again you don';t want to harm the gums, GL!

  • I'm not a STM but we use cold, not frozen, teething rings and Little Remedies pain reliever at night because that's when she hurts the most.

  • Orajel is not recommended because it is a numbing agent and can numb tongue, lips, throat, which can pose a breathing, choking risk.

Cold things are primary. Make camomile tea and turn that into ice cubes. Then use the mesh feeding bags to hold the ice. The tea is a natural teething aid. The hylands tablets or boirons liquid homeopathics are good too.

When its bad, Tylenol till 6 months then we will switch to Motrin.
