My H had a SA done and all his numbers were great, his count was high and the nurses said that it was perfect.
Since then we have had 3 failed IUI and the samples that he had given the nurses said they looked perfect and his numbers are higher each time over 100 million plus after wash.
Last Friday we had to do another SA for IVF and wait the 24 hours, I called on Monday to get the report and was told the doctor had to review it. The nurse calls me today and told me that the sample was great but we would need to do ICSI because there was bacteria in the seminal fluid.
I have never heard of this and I looked up information on it but it said it was fairly common has anyone heard of this or received the same feedback from their doctor.
They gave him an antibiotic, he/we dont have any STDs, the other common relation was prostate inflammation and his dad was recenly diagnosed with colon and prostate cancer. I am wondering if this could somehow be related, the doctor did tell my h that he should be checked because it is hereditary.
