I noticed in a post the other day a lot of posters did not care for the H in this name. DD is Norah. I'm just curious why you prefer one over the other.
For us, we felt like Norah was more "complete". Nora seemed like a nn to Eleanor (which we also considered).

Re: Nora vs Norah
It just seems like an extra letter slapped on there.
Weirdly enough, I prefer Sarah to Sara.

I like Norah. I have no real reason why, just do.
I feel like my response might seem harsh, but here it is, because you asked.
It seems like people who change or add letters like Kortnee, Izaac, Karter, etc. are just trying to be trendy or original or have settled on a name and tried to "make it their own."
I understand that in your case, both are typical spellings, but it reminds me of the above situation, which is why I don't care for it.

This has been a very interesting poll. I'm normally very against extra letters but never really viewed her name as such. I guess it's because the first time we considered it was when we heard a Norah Jones song on the radio.
Was H the original Y?!
I agree, it just looks prettier
My DD is Nora, no h.
To me, the h at the end feels clunky.

1) You are an intense researcher.
2) Your wedding dress is gorg.
Thank you!
I so want to wear that dress again. I so want to fit into that dress again!! lol!
I can't help it, I find this stuff interesting! There's a Norah in my family tree around the turn of the century. I think they were practically fresh off the boat.
I'm having a hard time with Baby #2. We're having a boy and Irish names are so trendy right now. Sigh. Oh well...
I prefer the h.
I don't mind it without the h, but I feel like it looks more polished/complete with the h.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
