Middle Names for Nathan

If this baby is a boy, we are naming him Nathan (Nate).  I have full middle name picking rights because DH chose DS1's middle name.  I was thinking of Nathan Edward - Edward would be after my dad.  I don't love love the name Edward and was looking for other suggestions that would sound good with Nathan.  Any thoughts?

I like Edward for the family connection.

Other suggestions: Daniel, Gabriel, Andrew, Matthew, Elias/Eli, Samuel, Joseph

I don't love Edward as a first name, but sounds fine as a middle name and goes nice with Nathan... and I like the family connection. Other options I like:

We almost named our 1st (if boy) Nathaniel Rhett.

I prefer Nathaniel because I am old school about names, but I really like

Nathan James.

My brother's name is Nathan and my mother used two middle names for him and it really fits. Bradley is my son's name and it's one of his middle. I always liked the sound of the two together and the other middle name was her maiden name to honor her family, since he was carrying on my father's last name. So you could do two names, Edward for one and use another that you just like.

My Nathan's middle name is Archimedes. I love it. My Mom/fam has taken to calling him Archie. Nathan is a great name to be bold and fun with a middle name.
