Cold VS Flu

If you LOs had the actual flu, how'd you did you know it was the flu Nd not a bad cold?

  • I would look for a fever. Any if they were sleeping a lot more.

  • we are battling bronchiolitis right now (which is basically a cold in the chest) our symptoms are: coughing, sneezing, wheezing, and chest retractions while breathing (where he is working so hard to breathe, you can see his ribs when he tries to take a breath in).  No fever what so ever.  Our highest temp was 99.7, but was usually around 98.6...

  • Fever and waaaaaaaaaaay more whiny and clingy than usual. Normally we don't bother going to the dr with just a fever unless it has lasted longer than 24hrs. This time we brought in LO the first day of the fever because he just wasn't like he normally is when sick.
