C-Sections and Laser Hair Removal

Anyone had this done over their scar? What happened? How effective was it? I am thinking about laser hair removal, but it isn't really worth it if I can't do it over the scar.

hmm, I should ask my friend I know she has had laser hair removal, I guess it hurts like a son of *** afterwards, and a csection.

good point other poster, I don't have hair over my scar.

I did laser hair removal long before kids and it was the biggest waste of time and money! So if you're going to do it PLEASE don't go to American Laser Centers. A friend has gone to her dr office (think ob but could be derm...) and has much better results at a better price.

My friend had her legs done and she has a huge scar on her leg from a car accident... Not sure what the problem would be

My OB did the cut literally right above my pelvic bone. It is really low, so I have hair above it. I wasn't sure how small the area is that the laser "focuses" in on, so was wondering if the scar in the middle of this lasered area would be a problem, hurt more, etc. And while there is no hair on the scar, the scar itself is not that wide.

I had it done in a dr office (it was done by an aesthetician in the Plastic Surgery department) and it didn't work for me either. However, it not working was what finally made someone pay attention that I had some hormonal issues going on and I finally got a PCOS diagnosis. So it was a waste of money, but I finally got treatment.

I also had LASIK that didn't last, so I like to say my superpower is that I am impervious to lasers.

Lol. What a shiiity superpower to have! I love my LASIK.

No advice on c section scar but I had mine done at a plastic surgeons. if you aren't done having kids wait! I had mine done a year before I got pregnant it hurt like crap but worked really well. Then I got pregnant and some hair grew back so just FYI

I've had laser hair removal around scars and there was no problem. I went to a private practice that offered this as one of their services. I'm very happy with the results.
