Two.

Our RE strongly recommended one because he thinks the embies have an incredible shot at implanting. He gave us a long talk about the risks of multiples. But even despite all of that, we feel strongly that we should do two. I don't know if it's the right decision, but we put a ton of thought into it and that's where we are. Glad to know we aren't alone!

This time around we are doing one, as of now. I'm not sure if that's going to change or not. At first we decided one because our office has excellent eSET sats, but I started thinking about how these embies have now been frozen twice and we aren't sure how that's going to affect them. We transferred 2 last time, and he agreed to transfer 2 again if we wanted to. But I'm not sure. I was actually surprised at how quickly he said he would agree to transfer 2 again since our last FET he didn't really feel too comfortable with it. I'm not sure, we still have time to discuss and figure it out. So far, it's just one though.

One, final answer. Hubby and I are both not at all comfortable with twins. I'm not comfortable with the possible complications during pregnancy or the financial, physical, mental stress of two at one time. If it happens from transferring one then its ment to be but I'm not going to raise the odds. Just our opinion.

It's not for everyone, but either one or two would be a blessing to us.

We transferred one the first time and got a BFN....transferring two this time! GL!!!

Transferring one.  Twins are out of the question for us.  We would rather try again than having twins so one it is.

I'm not a Feb FETer but we're transferring 2, too. We did 2 with our fresh too. Our RE really didn't even ask, just assumed we'd do the same which we'd already agreed upon before chatting. It scares me because we only have 3 frosties. Ill take however many bambinos God wants to give us. Not that THAT doesn't scare the bejesus out of us too. ;

Since you opened it up to FETers in general (i'll probably FET in May), I'm in the same space as Crystal. I also really hope I can have a low-risk pregnancy in order to have a healthy, natural birth. I am a trained birth doula, and birthing naturally is much harder to do with twins, especially in my state (freestanding birth centers won't do twin births, and home-birthing with a twin pregnancy is really challenging as only a couple of midwives in the area do it). Those are my thoughts and my experience around it, but I think its so exciting either way!! It's just that each of our families, plans/hopes, and situations are different.
