I am 32 and have PCOS, I have been given metformin (2000mg a day) and will be beginning to take Clomid (50 mg starting at day 5) starting next month. Any success stories out there with this combination?
Yes I am seeing both doctors currently. And both my husband and I had all the necessary testing done he is fine,
but I don?t always ovulate which is causing some of the issue.
I am being closely monitored as both doctors are very careful with their patients.
I have been trying for over 12 months which is why my doctor and I even
considered clomid.And thank you.
Sorry, but since this is the trouble board you will not find success stories here. Once people get PG, they move on to the grad boards (First tri, Pregnant after IF, success after IF, etc.).
While there is a small percentage of women that have success with clomid and metformin alone I will say most people go on to do more ART such as IUIs in order to get Pregnant. Has your RE discussed IUIs? Probably after three cycles of clomid and timed intercourse, this is what they will do.
But if you want success stories off of just clomid and metformin - I'd ask first tri board.

Yeah! You wouldn't believe how many people jump into treatment for the wrong reasons (usually impatience & lack of awareness). So sometimes we're a little wary. Welcome to the board! Best of luck with your cycle!

it was mentioned but is in the near future if this doesnt work. i am hopeful as my mother used clomid and it worked the first month. i will check out the other boards as well, thanks for the tip
i can imagine how many people jump instead of taking the appropriate steps. it is difficult as i'm sure we all know but i have considered everything before deciding to even try clomid. Thank you so much!
thank you so much for that tip. i have heard that there are hot flashes and nausea that can be hard to handle. i will def. try taking it at night. im so nervous but trying to stay calm at the same time
welcome and good luck. I am sorry you have to be here but I really hope your stay here is short. I don't have experience with those medications but I wish you luck!

Ugh they delayed my cycled of clomid by 3 months . I'm
disappointed but it is for the best as it is due to insulin resistance.
So they are watching my a1c levels before allowing me to begin the
cycle. but if the end result is a happy healthy family as a whole its
for the best.
