My 8 yr old twins do not spend 50/50 time with their dad. That situation is kind of a special one. He wasn't in their life until they were almost 5, so it was a slow process. However, if he wanted them 50/50, even as a goal to work toward, I would be willing to, but he considers the 20 minutes away that he lives too far to drive to get them to school.
so, no, he spends every other weekend with them, if that.. and a couple weeks for breaks. and since his divorce, it seems that all of his focus is now on that battle. but, since his ex and I are good friends, we make sure our kids, who are sisters, spend time together often.
