Vent: Really, DH?

I love my husband.  I keep repeating that to myself.  We got back an hour ago from getting blood drawn for our infectious disease screening (a requirement prior to IVF at our clinic).  For added fun, they drew an extra vial from me to check my AMH.

My husband has not stopped complaining about how much his arm hurts and why is it so hard to do all this IF stuff and why does having blood drawn hurt so much.  Seriously?  Were you not there on Friday when you had to hold me down to do the HSG?  I didn't see you in stirrups.  And I had the exact same blood draw plus an extra vial.  This is before we even get to the fun shots and every other day blood draw monitoring!  If he points to his non-existent bruise one more time, I'm going to bean him in the head with my gummy bears....  rant over... for now...

LOL they are the biggest wimps on the planet.  They should really figure out a way for the man to have child birth (not that I have had the pleasure of it) that would fix them...

We just had our bloodwork done yesterday & my DH was the opposite - he says "look, my arm is all healed already, no bruising - it didn't hurt at all"

Now his head cold on the other hand - he went to work, but is whining like a big baby....  Do you know if he should hold off on his SA tomorrow since he has been taking over the counter cold meds?

this!  seriously?  MH would be too scared to say something like that.  On average I'm getting blood drawn 2 x a week and I'm waking up an hour early on those days. MH is very grateful for the amount I have to go through.  When he needs to come in for our IUI sample - he's always saying how it's nothing compared to what I have to go through.

What a baby!  Hopefully he'll wise up when he sees you having to go through all the shots and be a little more sensitive!

I feel for you. Men are babies...well mine is anyhow! Hopefully he shows you some compassion soon!

Think the creator of the universe knows that the human race would be extinct if men had to have babies!  Hoping that YH gets over it quickly and shows you some compassion for what women who have IF go through.

It is pretty ridiculous what they'll complain about.  He knows that he has nothing worthy to complain about, his biggest issue was taking the antibiotic for a week which made him feel sick.  I had to remind him of the ultrasounds, blood draws, four shots/day, pain from egg retrieval etc to make him realize that the antibiotic was a small part in the big picture.  OH, and now that I have told him that sex is on hold until I have the beta drawn automatically put a scowl on his face.  HONESTLY???

Yeah, men are babies.  Mine included....we just started this process and I am nervous to think that he is probably going to pass out or run when he sees the needle.  I guess I will need to blind-fold him and hog tie him to the bench..Lol.

I hope that your husband does start to realize and become more compassionate to you during all this hard and painful work. And to think, you will be bringing a beautiful present of a baby into this world, God willing......He should have nothing to complain about except for the midnight milk runs.

Omg, so ridiculous!! They are all e same. My DH was annoyed about waiting in the waiting room when we went to a consult last year. Moaning and groaning the whole time. I said the same-- you are waiting once, I wait all the time when I am getting daily prodding. Whiny, aren't they?

HA HA HA! Sounds totally like my husband. He griped and complained about how "weird" it was to do the SA. (He got to do it in the privacy of our home.)  Now that he needs a second one, I am sure I will have to get out my prodding iron.
