Hello! I'm new to the "crunchy" scene and I hope this is an appropriate community in which to post this but DS (6 mos) has a little cold (no fever and he seems fine except for a runny/stuffy nose and cough) and I'm looking up homeopathic remedies. I've seen the basics - turning on the shower and sitting in the bathroom with him, saline, etc - but I also saw using Eucolyptus oil and maybe basil oil? Would I put a couple drops in his humidifier? Can I just use my run-of-the-mill Vick's humidifier or will the oils mess it up? Thanks!
I'm brand-spankin'-new to all this, so sorry if that's a really basic question. LOL! Thanks!
Re: Essential Oils in Humidifier?
Hi!
A high quality essential oil will ruin your run of the mill humidifier. You can put a drop in the humidifier to help clear your baby up, or put a drop of eucalyptus or peppermint on a washcloth next to baby so lo can smell it to clear stuffiness. Full disclosure i do sell essential oils, but i really just love to help! I'd be happy to answer any further questions you may have, feel free to email me at livepurely1@gmail.com.
