Can't Stop BFing!

I only nurse once a day, but if I miss a day, I get a blocked duct without a doubt.  The only way I've found to unblock it, is to nurse.  It is a vicious cycle.  I'd like to be done with BFing, but I don't know how to stop!  Help!

Try to shorten the feeding everyday, get it down to one side if you can. Ice yourself as soon as you are done with the feeding.

Ice was the only thing that helped me when I stopped and I was the clogged duct queen.

Even though I'm not nursing DD2, my milk came in hard-core.  I walked around with ice packs stuffed in my bra and took anti-inflammatory meds for about a week.

Lecithin and a heating pad on the girls really helped me when I got them in the beginning. And ibuprofen for the pain. Good luck! Those mothers are painful!

good luck! no advice here. we are still at 3+ times a day. how do u get down to 1 when he hardly drinks wcm?!
