anyone have any good DVD workout videos that the recommend? I was just getting into a routine with my insanity workouts but now that I'm pregnant, I clearly can't keep up with the max heart rate workouts. I want something that's going to keep my legs and thighs tone! TIA!
Re: Working out while pregnant
I would also keep up the Intensity workouts until your body tells you to stop.
I've been following my usual weight lifting routine since I found out I was pg. So far I haven't had to modify anything with the amount of weight (although my belly is getting too big for one of the back machines I use). For cardio I've had to slow down within the last month or so. My lower belly starts to feel crampy if I go too fast, so I have to warm up slower and generally go slower. My heart rate is generally in the 130s-150s range when I'm working out, assuming the machines are even accurate.

Thanks ladies. I was going to continue with modifications but just wanted to see if there was anything else out there. With my last pregnancy my doctor just told me to make sure I could still hold a conversation while exercising. I didn't stay in shape with my first pregnancy and I really regret it!
Running is my main focus, but I do DVD's to cross train. One of my favorites is the Jillian Michael's Yoga DVD and a friend borrowed me a pre-natal yoga that's been good, too. I used to do the Jillian Michael's 30-day Shred, but I'm not a fan of jumping around so much anymore
The Jillian Michael's DVDs do have some moves that are NOT possible with a preggo belly, so I just do what I can and ad-lib when there's something I can't do.
Otherwise, (with dr. approval) hit the weight room and do light-weight squats and lunges
They've been good for me!
