For the last two weeks or so my lo has been getting up and staying up from 2:30am till about 4am. I feed him and rock him back to sleep but it takes for ever and he totally fights falling back to sleep!
In the past he has been up, fed and fell asleep nursing, burped and back to his crib, maybe taking 10 minuted tops (he's a quick eater) and would sleep well until morning.
I loathe the idea of letting him cry it out, and am honestly confused by the many CIO variations of picking him up and putting him back down, letting him scream till he falls asleep, not getting him out of the crib, but comforting him... yikes! So many different things to try!
So,this morning (3am) after trying to rock him to sleep for a 1/2 hour, I let him cry and comforted him in his crib, it took an hour but he finally fell asleep...only to wake and scream every 10-15 minutes for about 3-5 minutes. He's been doing this for almost 2 hours now. Is that normal? The hour was torture enough, now it seems like he isn't really even sleeping since he is waking to scream so often.
I know sleep training or not sleep training is a hot topic, but I'm curious if anyone elses LO's did this lingering screaming stuff.
Re: Just another sleep question
Is he teething? Maybe his gums are bothering him....
LO was up a few times last night within an hour and half and I gave him some teething tablets and that was enough to let him put himself back to sleep within 10 more minutes for the rest of the night...

What time do you put him down? What his total nap time throughout the day? And whats his last nap? That could be something.
I also agree with PP, maybe hes teething?
