night time temperature

My 2 year old is just getting over being sick (flu, ear infection) and his night time temperature has been 95 degrees every night (while he is sleeping).  I spoke with his doctor's office but no one can tell me whether this is ok or if it is common.  Is there anyone out there who has had the same issue?  Does anyone know if this is common?

Thanks, Jackie

Re: night time temperature

  • Is it a rectal temperature? If so that is pretty low and maybe he needs to be dressed warmer at night. Is he in a cold sweat? Maybe he sweat off a fever?

  • The directions that came with my thermometer specifically state that temps taken while the child is asleep are not accurate.
